Peppy background music accompanies the voice-over directions to Poodle Patterns. Starting with a review of supplies needed, the groomer proceeds to the basic puppy clip, then shows the "Town and Country," "Royal Dutch," "Teddy Bear," and other trimming scissoring, shaping, and grooming techniques. It's not hard to understand why owners pay a pro to do this. However, clipping at home offers considerable savings, and, with a cooperative, well-trained dog and some confidence, owners should be able to learn this skill by following the video's lesson. Excellent photography lets you see exactly what's happening. Recommended for public libraries where there is demand.
